Vinh Phuc Maps out Tourism Development for 2010 - 2020, Vision to 2030

The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Vinh Phuc province has submitted to the Provincial People’s Committee a report on tourism development in the period from 2010 to 2020 and vision to 2030. This planning determines long-term development strategy and lays ground for local tourism development in the future.

Vinh Phuc has many favourable locations for tourism development, including Tam Dao, Tay Thien, Dai Lai Lake, Vac Pond, Xa Huong, traditional craft villages (Huong Canh pottery, Thanh Lang wooden furniture, Ly Nhan iron forging, Hai Luu stone and Vinh Son snake), religious relics and historical sites.
 
According to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the province welcomed 167,300 visitors, including 1,200 foreigners and 166,100 Vietnamese visitors, and made revenue of VND56 billion in the first eight months of 2009. Soure: vnnbusiness.com
