Inauguration of the first ferry Tuan Chau – Cat Ba Island

The first direct ferry Tuan Chau – Cat Ba has just opened by Tuan Chau Group on 31 Mars 2009. This unique service helps travelers to have more choice to discover Halong Bay.

There were two options to reach Cat Ba island in the past, by boat from Halong Bay or by speed boat from Hai Phong city, wasting so much time and money and not really convenient for travelers who are staying in Halong or Tuan Chau. The creation of direct ferry connecting Tuan Chau Island with Cat Ba island is really an excellent deals to promote these two beautiful islands.

The traveler can use this daily ferry so easily as it is operated every 1 hour from 6.00 AM till 18.00 PM. It takes only 45- 50 minutes per ferry journey.  In the future, the time of journey will be shortened up to only 20 – 25 minutes only.

The price is very reasonable but satisfaction and security guaranteed:

- Walker: VND 20,000

- Motobike: VND 30,000

- Less than 9 pax Van: VND 100,000

- From 9 pax to 16 pax Van: VND 150,000
