Hanoi Noi Bai International Airport is the chief gateway to the city and the north of Vietnam, and is a modern aviation facility situated 22 miles from the centre of Hanoi. As the newest of the country’s international airports, Noi Bai is relatively well equipped with facilities for passengers, offering ATMs, currency exchange services and dining and shopping outlets.

The airport receives flights mainly from destinations in Asia with regular connections maintained with major cities such as Bangkok, Vientiane, Kuala Lumpur, Seoul, Taipei, Beijing, Osaka and Siem Reap. There are also flights to Moscow and Vladivostok by Aeroflot and Vladivostok Air respectively. Passengers requiring ground transportation to the city can make use of bus services with numbers 07 and 17 running from outside the Arrivals area direct to the centre of Hanoi. The journey takes about an hour and is the cheapest transfer option.

An airport minibus also operates from directly in front of the terminal but leaves only when full, so passengers on tight schedules might want to avoid this option. Another cheaper alternative is to take the Vietnam Airline Minibus Airport Minibus one way trip costs VND 30,000 for Vietnamese or VND 48,000 (US$3) for foreigners. Minibuses leave the airport when it is full and there is one publics bus station outsite the buidings on the right hand it's very cheap abt 5000 vnd that means for 3 persons it's cost 1usd only the last point of minibus is Number one QUANG TRUNG STR it's very near Hoan Kiem lake you can walk on foot. And the last poin of public bus is Kim Ma station on Kim Ma street it's take about 3-4 km to center so you can take motobike (very chip about 1 to 3 usd belong to hotel positions. Public bus routes are available from airport to the city center. The bus #7 connects airport and Kim Ma bus station, the number 17 will get you to the Long Bien bus station. The fare is fixed and cost 0.5 USD, however, but it is very crowded, moreover, you also need to transfer from bus station to your hotel.
