My boyfriend and I traveled around Vietnam for two weeks and stayed at various hotels. This was a gem find! It was by far the best hotel we stayed at with a great location in the Old Quarter. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Rooms were new, clean, and reminded us of Western four star hotels back at home. We stayed during their soft opening and discovered some unfinished things in the rooms. But other than that, it was definitely worth it. Would recommend it to family and friends traveling to Hanoi.

This small but luxurious hotel provides everything you need. It has an internet, satallite TV and go air con for those steamy hot days. The staff is kind and helpful and I would stay long term if need be. The location is convenient to all venues. One of my favorite hotels.

My daughter and I hated this hotel. We could never get any sleep. The fact that the staff were quite rude when I complained about the construction noise made me very annoyed. I wanted to speak to the hotel manager but was always discouraged from doing so. The tv and aircon did not work very well. The street noise was deafening. If you weren't annoyed by the hammering going on right next door, then the motorcycles or roosters crowing and dogs barking all the time would certainly drive you crazy. We couldn't wait to leave the place. If I hadn't paid for a few nights' stay we would have left after the first night.

Looking for a central location in Hanoi? The Viet Anh Hotel offers clean, but small rooms. It's a symbol of this growing Hanoi. Improvisations and constructions all around, a computer with internet access in your room and motor noise all day and night. But nice shops and excellent restaurants around the corner, good breakfast and friendly staff. So it's not the place for a honeymoon, but if you are unpretentious, looking for "cool" hotel in Hanoi you will find this hotel as a good solution.

We were disappointed with the arrival at our hotel: it has recently lost a star and places are poorly maintained. The staff is very competent and average home. Breakfast is served in buffet and only the pancakes are good. In short, a deception that is not worth the price paid, it is worth half.

1) This is a very small hotel + small rooms in terms of size, with severe lack of space. 2) Extra bed is not available, and in fact, there is no space either to put one. 3) The hotel is located at a narrow crowded lane in the old quarters. 4) Free internet is available in some rooms as well as in the lobby. 5) Rooms as well as the hotel is generally clean, with reasonable maintenance. 6) Hotel staff speak good English.
