Great hotel with exceptional staff. The rooms are recently renovated, bathroom cozy but wonderful compared to everywhere else we've been in SE Asia, complimentary breakfast substantial, located in the old quarter so you can walk almost everywhere! We arrived on Christmas even and they had a wonderful party for guests and friends - had a wonderful time here!

We stayed at the Hanoi Atlantic for three days from 23 Jan 2010 and had a great time. The hotel is really central and the staff are really friendly - always on hand with a cool drink and friendly conversation. The ensuite double room was clean and the bed was kingsize (great for my boyfriend who's 6ft 2!). Breakfast was continental and included in the price. We didn't have a window in the room but this was actually an advantage as it kept out the incessant noise of moped hooters outside - something you get used to very quickly in Hanoi! The travel agency in reception helped organise a trip to Halong bay for us on a deluxe junk (boat) which we would definitely recommend. Other backpackers chose cheaper versions of the same trip and were jealous that we'd gone with the Halong Bay trip as it's reputation was so good. The hotel allowed us to keep our bags whilst we were on the 2 day trip and even offered us a room to use before we got our nightbus to Hue (which they also organised for us). Overall a great place to stay - safe, clean and fantastic service from a budget hotel.
